Sweets are weighed first, then boxed.

Rates are per kilo and change only when milk or ghee prices do. Half a kilo and a quarter kilo are sold at the same rate.

Everything on the counter is made in the kitchen behind the shop, and the samosa comes out of the kadhai every hour.

It began in 1987 as a single kadhai making jalebi and gulab jamun at Gandhi Chowk. The grandson now runs the counter, and his grandfather still checks the chhena every morning.

“We ordered 60 kg for my son’s wedding. It reached the venue on time and the rasgulla was as soft as at the shop.”
“They weigh the sweets before putting them in the box. Small thing, but most shops charge you for the cardboard.”
